They say, “The LORD does not see;
the God of Jacob takes no notice. “
Psalm 33 verse 18 (NIV)
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love…
When children are really little and don’t really understand the concept of playing hide and seek, they often think if they hide their eyes, or they can’t see you, then you in turn can’t see them. That can be quite amusing for us to see. But sadly, people with no knowledge of God often behave just like those children. They think because they can’t see God, that He can’t see them, or at the very least is uninterested.
But David knew different, He reminds us that God’s eye is on us. He misses nothing. Didn’t Jesus tell us also that the very hairs of our head are numbered. He is always watching us to guide and direct our steps. Since He is looking out for us, we need to make every effort to please Him.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for reminding me that Your eye is on sparrow, and ready ever to guide and direct us. Amen.
