10 December 2025 – What have I learned today?

Luke chapter 10 verses 17-20 (NIV)

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Luke Christmas challenge day 10. Thank disciples were  understandably excited at all they had seen and done when Jesus sent them out.  But Jesus reminded them to keep things in perspective. The most important thing is to remember what Jesus has done for us. We too may get excited about what Jesus does through our lives, but it’s only because of what He has done for us that we have a restored relationship with God and the privilege of spending eternity with Him.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for this reminder to keep things in perspective. After all everything I have is because of Your grace and the work of Jesus. Thank You. Amen.
