Exodus Chapter 9 – Verses 20-21 (NIV Anglicised version)
Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. But those who ignored the word of the Lord left their slaves and livestock in the field.
People were beginning to pay attention to what Moses said. They were beginning to believe that Moses was God’s spokesman and were also prepared to act on what he said. Pharaoh still hardened his heart, but others didn’t. It was Pharaoh that Moses and Aaron were sent to speak to, but it was others who listened. We never know who we will make an impact on with the way that we live our lives. And it may not be those we expect either. But that’s okay. They are just as important to God too!
Dear God,
Help me to maintain my testimony for Your glory. I never know who is paying attention, but You do.
I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
