13 December 2025 – What have I learned today?

Luke chapter 13 verses 23- 23 (NIV)

Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”

He said to them,  “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

Luke Christmas challenge day 13. The thing that struck me about these verses is that Jesus is teaching here that we should not just sit back and let things happen when it comes to our Christian walk. We are to make an effort to walk this road, and that takes commitment and determination. To me, it clarifies the thought of some that “once saved always saved.” That’s not what Jesus is saying here. He wants us to keep walking on the right road, not try out detours along the way.

Dear Lord,

Thank You that we don’t walk the narrow road by ourselves. We have a personal guide in the Holy Spirit but we need to follow His leading. Help me to do that. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
