Hebrews chapter 12 verses 12-13 (NIV)
Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
This chapter in the book of Hebrews also talks about perseverence and running the race which God has marked out for us individually.
These verses here also show us that we have a responsibility to persevere even when we might think that we don’t have the strength to do so. And we also have responsibility to do so because our example and witness will also serve as a witness and encouragement to those who follow on behind us, and helping them to be properly equipped to run their own race.
Dear Lord,
Thank You that we are not in a race against those round about us. It’s a race that You have marked out for each of us personally. Help me to pick up my feet and run with perseverence. Thank You that Jesus runs alongside us. Amen.
