15  December 2025 – What have I learned today?

Luke chapter 15 verse 20 (NIV)

So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Luke Christmas challenge day 15. This verse is an encouragement for any people who think they need to get themselves in the right place before they can come to God. Here in the concluding verses in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, we see that the son was still a long way off when the father ran to meet him. Those we love may not yet have returned home to the fold, but if their hearts are stirring in that direction, we can trust God to take care of the final outcome.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for bridging the gap that we could never do ourselves. I pray for all those at this Christmas season who are turning their thoughts to the things of God. May they know the compassion and forgiveness that You offer them through Jesus. I pray in His Name. Amen.
