2 Chronicles chapter 5 verse 11 (NIV)
The priests then withdrew from the Holy Place. All the priests who were there had consecrated themselves, regardless of their divisions.
The priests’ divisions took turns to minister before God. They had to ensure that their lives were consecrated so that they could serve when it was their turn.
But on the day Solomon dedicated the Temple, everyone of them had prepared themselves, and God’s presence came down in power.
That reminded me that I should always keep my life in readiness for God to use as and when He chooses. He can move at any time and I don’t want to miss out because I wasn’t ready to be used.
Dear Lord,
Help me never to be slack but always to be ready and prepared to be used by You. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
