Ruth chapter 3 verse 11 (NIV)
“And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character.”
What a wonderful testimony Ruth had. She did not push herself forward, or attempt to draw attention to herself. But she lived her life blamelessly and with integrity, looking after her mother-in-law.
We don’t have to take centre stage to make a mark for God. If we live our lives in obedience to God, and with integrity, people will take note of the way that we live. Then if they enquire about our lifestyle, we have the, opportunity to explain why we have chosen to follow God’s plan for us. We really don’t need to make things complicated for ourselves. That’s not part of God’s plan for us.
Dear Lord,
Thank You that it’s possible to be a witness for You by simply living as we should in our daily life, under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. Let me then not despise the small things, when every aspect of how we live should point people to Jesus. I ask in His Name. Amen.
