19 June 2026 – What have I learned today?

Psalm 75 verses 1-2 (NIV)

 We praise you, God,

   we praise you, for your Name is near;

  people tell of your wonderful deeds. You say, “I choose the appointed time;

   it is I who judge with equity.”

Here we read of people praising and worshiping God for all the good things He has done.

Yet what struck me here was the reminder that all things are accomplished in God’s time, not ours. He has an appointed time for things to be done. Therefore we must still praise Him when we find it difficult to wait for that appointed time, which may be far longer away than we would like. He is still with is then, and His deeds for us are still worth proclaiming with praise as we wait for His perfect time.

Dear Lord,

I may not always understand why I have to wait for the appointed time to come, but I look at all the wonderful things You have done for me thus far and know I can trust that Your timing is perfect. Grant me the desire to speak Your praises as I wait. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
