19 March 2026 – What have I learned today?

Numbers chapter 9 verse 14. (NIV)

“‘A foreigner residing among you is also to celebrate the LORD’s Passover in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for both the foreigner and the native-born.’”

What struck me in this verse was that, even at this stage in Israel’s history, God gives us a glimpse of His intention to bring others into His way. Foreigners residing with the people of Israel could also partake of the Passover feast.  Jesus explains that too when He talks about grafting those of us Gentiles into the vine. God is always inclusive and will always welcome anyone who is willing to follow His decrees and statutes, and acknowledge all that Jesus has done for us.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for making a way, through Christ, to bring everyone who believes into the family of God. We haven’t earned that, or been born into it but it is freely given to us. May I never squander or waste the gift that You have given. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
