Isaiah Chapter 46: Verse 4 (NLT Translation)
I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
Israel’s relationship with God was up and down, because so often the people wanted to do their own thing, and God allowed them to. Yet He promised to still be their God, and stepped in whenever they cried out to Him.
I love this verse in Isaiah which promises that God will be with us throughout our entire lifetime. What a reassurance! Our relationship with God can be up and down too, because we also want to do our own thing. But in a world of constant change and when life can be so precarious, the constancy of God’s love and care for us is such a blessing, but we need to be much more consistent ourselves.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your constant love and care in my life. When so many other things come and go, I am grateful for Your reassuring presence in my life. Help me to be consistent in following after You. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
