2 February 2026 – What have I learned today?

Matthew chapter 21 verses 45-46 (NIV)

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them.  They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet.

The chief priests and the Pharisees got the message. They heard what Jesus was saying. They knew He was talking to them. So they had a choice. They could respond positively, take on board what Jesus said, and repent. Or they could do nothing, because they were afraid of what they would have to give up. How sad. How much more they would have received in return.

We too have a choice when God speaks to our hearts. Are we willing to do the right thing, and do what He asks of us, no matter what the cost might be? After all, look what Jesus has done for us. And look what we get back in return.

Dear Lord,

When You speak may I never be too afraid to do the right thing. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
