Ephesians chapter 4 verses 1-7 (NIV)
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called ;  one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
Following on from yesterday’s verse, we see here a further example of just how amazing the grace of God is to each one of us.
Paul reminds us then of how we should live because of that grace and goodness afforded to us. God will give us all that we need to live in the way that Paul teaches us to. That’s why the Holy Spirit came. However, we are also told by Paul that we are to make every effort to live in the manner that he describes. We are called to walk with God and not take all from Him without giving back our obedience to His will.
Dear Lord,
Once more I thank You for the grace that You have given me to be able to do Your will. Help me then to live in that grace and to be faithful and obedient. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
