26 October 2026 – What have I learned today?

Psalm 119 verse 108 (NIV)

Accept, LORD, the willing praise of my mouth,

and teach me your laws.

It was the word “willing” that caught my attention today. God deserves our willing praise. He doesn’t want us to come dragging our feet, or even out of a sense of obligation. Christ’s sacrifice for us was willing and freely given so our praise should be no less. Even if we are in a place where our praise is a sacrifice, it should still be given willingly.

A willing heart is more likely to take things on board and hear what God is saying. So let’s start with bringing willing praise to God and we will find that we will have the right attitude regardless of our circumstances.

Dear Lord,

May Your praise be always on my lips and heart. You are truly worthy of it. Amen.
