Titus chapter 2 verses 7-8 (NIV)
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
You don’t have to be a teacher to teach others. Here Paul reminds Titus that the best way to teach others how to live the Christian life is to lead by example.
If, as Paul exhort us to, we live with integrity, then those who oppose the Christian life have nothing to accuse us of. We know how often young children copy the actions of the adults around them. We want those young in the faith to have a good example to follow in their Christian life.
Dear Lord,
Help me to live a practical example as a follower of Christ that will make that life attractive to others. I ask in His Name. Amen.
