2 Peter Chapter 3 verses 2-3 (NIV)
I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Saviour through your apostles. Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
It’s good to look back over our lives and give thanks for all that He has said to us and done for us.
This helps to encourage and strengthen us during those times where we may feel that nothing much is happening for us spiritually, or when other people point the finger of doubt at our belief in God. Has God touched our lives in the past? Yes, He has. Has He kept His word to us? Yes He has. Then will He not do so again? Yes, He will. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, so that even in the darkest of times, He will keep us on the right road, and we know that He will because we remember that He has done it before. Praise His Holy Name!
Dear Lord,
Thank You for bringing to remembrance all that You have done for my life and through my life. No matter what the doubters and scoffers say, thank You that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Amen.
