3 December 2025 – What have I learned today?

Luke chapter 3 verse 15(NIV)

The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah.

Luke Christmas challenge day 3. During advent there will be many excited youngsters impatiently wondering how many more sleeps until their most anticipated day of the year. They can’t make it come any quicker so they just have to wait. Some will be better at waiting than others. Adults can be just the same. We all have different attitudes whilst we are waiting, and some of us get frustrated, some impatient and some anxious. With regards to God’s promises what is our attitude while we wait? If we trust and hold on to what God has promised, then our attitude should be like the people that Luke mentions here. They were waiting expectantly for the Messiah to be revealed. God’s promises can be trusted. We should therefore cultivate patience and wait expectantly for their fulfilment.

Dear Lord,

Help me to cultivate patience and wait with expectation for the fulfilling of Your word. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
