30 July 2026 – What have I learned today?

Romans chapter 13 verse 8 (NIV)

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

So yesterday Paul taught us how to live in a practical way in loving our neighbours as we love ourselves.

In today’s reading we see that Paul teaches that this is not a one off thing. He tells us we have a continuing debt to love one another. It’s meant to be an ongoing thing. Jesus paid a debt for us that we couldn’t pay, but in return He expects us to live as He intends for us, and that includes putting love in action as we saw yesterday.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for paying the debt I owed. Help me to show my gratitude by loving others as I should. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
