Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.
Sometimes we can take for granted that when we are introduced to Christians that we don’t yet know well, they are in the same, or similar position in their faith journey.
That may not always be so. I found this to be true when joining another fellowship after having worshipped with the same Church group for many years. We need to be careful not to judge someone who we think should be further along the road.
It’s not our place to say where someone should be on their journey of faith. Remember that we are told our race is marked out for us individually. (Hebrews chapter 12 verses 1-3). We aren’t in a race against other people. We are meant to be encourgers of others and cheer folks along in their own race.
Dear Lord,
Help me to be a good cheerleader for other brothers and sisters in Christ. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
