Colossians chapter 1 verse 12 (NIV)
and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
Many of us will have had to gain qualifications of different kinds to be able to do our jobs, or to learn the skills we need to be able to do certain tasks. When it comes to the things of God things are different. We can’t earn our salvation and relationship with God. The qualification for that is a free gift given to us in love by Jesus. We simply have to acknowledge and accept it with gratitude.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the priceless gift of life in Christ which no amount of qualifications could earn us. Thank You that everyone is equal at the cross because the sacrifice was made by Jesus and not us. Amen.
