1 Corinthians 2 verses 10-12 (NIV)
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
John Chapter 14 verses 16-17 (NIV)
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
The Holy Spirit we are told, knows the very thoughts of God; He is part of the Trinity – The Godhead. Yet we are also told that He will be our Comforter, our Advocate, and that He will live in us. Not only that but He will reveal the things of God to us, if we are willing to be guided by Him. How awesome is that! So let’s not take Him for granted or downplay the wonderful gift we have been given.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to live in us and move through us. May I be sensitive to His moving. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
