Psalm 139 verse 16 (NIV)
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
I often remind myself of the scripture about being fearfully and wonderfully made, which is the two verses prior to this one, but I don’t always remember this verse. It is equally `reassuring, and fits nicely in with the verses from yesterday. How so? David tells us in this verse that not only did God know us before we were born, but before we were born, He knew our beginning and our end of days. So nothing takes Him unaware, no matter what circumstance we find ourselves in, That means we don’t need to run ahead trying to work things out; God knows all about it.
If that is so, we can safely leave it in His hands. His plans for us are well in hand, never rushed, never early or never last minute. Therefore, we can stop, take a deep breath and thank Him that He is control.
Dear Lord,
I thank You that You know everything about me and I can rest assured that everything is in Your hands and not outwith Your control. Praise Your Holy Name. Amen.
