Hebrews Chapter 4: verse 16 (NLT Version)
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Nothing we say to God will ever shock or surprise Him. He knows our deepest thoughts even if we don’t speak them out loud. The NIV translation of today’s verse in Genesis starts, “Now that I have been so bold…” God wants us to be bold enough to tell Him how we really feel. We don’t need to pretend. Being real before God is how we build up our relationship with Him.
But it’s also important as with any relationship, not just to sound off and walk away. Perhaps God has something to say to us too.
Dear Father God,
Thank you that you are always ready to listen to what’s on my mind. May I be as willing to listen attentively to what you have to say.
