Deuteronomy chapter 12 verse 4 (NIV)
You must not worship the LORD your God in their way.
Moses gave the people of Israel plenty of warning against worshipping other gods of the people in the land they were entering into. But this verse is different. Moses also told them not to worship the LORD in the same way that other people worshipped their gods.
Its a reminder to us as Christians to keep true in our own worship. We don’t need to be trendy, or copy the way the world celebrates. We don’t even need to copy other Christians or churches. We do need to worship the Lord with our whole heart.
Dear Lord,
May my praise to You be as incense, and pure in heart. That’s the worship You desire, and more importantly its the worship You deserve. Amen.
