20 March 2024 – What have I learned today?
Numbers Chapter 11 Verse 17 (NIV-UK)
I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.
Moses was overwhelmed and felt unable to cope with the situation he found himself in – trying to lead a grumbling and complaining people. There seemed no way for him to manage it, so he did the right thing. He went to God about it and told Him how He felt. God never expects us to carry any burden alone.
When we know that we can’t do or change any situation that we find ourselves in, God can. All we need to do is ask for His help.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for reminding me that I never need to face any burden or situation by myself. Jesus Himself told us that His Yoke is easy and His burden light. He will carry ours with us. Amen.
