Psalm 21: Verses 6-7 (NIV Anglicised Version)
Surely you have granted him unending blessings
And made him glad with the joy of your presence.
For the king trusts in the Lord;
through the unfailing love of the Most High
he will not be shaken.
When we count our unending blessings what do we list? Surely the joy of the Lord’s presence is indeed a blessing. The bible tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy is much deeper and more meaningful than just being really happy. Joyful people really do have an inner strength.
And just in case we are still in any doubt of God’s love for us, remember that as David says , through the unfailing love of the Most High, we too need not be shaken, and that in this current climate is definitely a blessing to give thanks for.
Dear God,
I’m feeling humble when I consider my unending blessings, including the joy of Your presence and Your great love for me. Such things are indeed too wonderful at times for me to comprehend. What a gracious God You are. Amen.
