Romans chapter 13 verses 11-14 (NIV)
And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
There was a Facebook post last Sunday confirming that the front page of the Scottish Sunday Express was reporting that the global crises were sending the younger generations to church. More signs of the “quiet revival”. We need to be on our toes and alert to what God is doing and on the ball. The only way to be thus prepared is to make sure we follow Paul’s reminder to clothe ourselves with Christ. Every day. We don’t know when opportunities will present and we want to be ready. And if we clothe ourselves with Christ then we ourselves will be unseen, and that’s the most important thing. We are on the cusp, I believe, of a great move of God, and I for one don’t want to miss it!
Dear Lord,
Thank You for all You’re doing in these days. Help me to be watchful and ready and wearing the full armour of God. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
