Micah chapter 3 verse 8 (NIV)
But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the LORD,
and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
to Israel his sin.
Sometimes we have to say things or do things that are just and right, but they are also unpopular with many people. We were not called to be popular, we were called to be followers of Jesus. He wasn’t always popular either.
But He did promise to send us the Holy Spirit as our guide and counsellor. When we need to take a stand, He will fill us with power and strength and most of all boldness. One thing we are never called to do is stand alone, and do things in our own strength. But that also means we are without excuse and need to be obedient.
Dear Lord,
Help me to be bold and willing to speak put in Jesus Name, and to seek to glorify You. Help me to do so under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
