When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD;
he brought me into a spacious place.
Sometimes when we are feeling anxious or stressed, we feel that things are pressing in on us. We might feel constrained or hemmed in and not sure what to do next.
But if we follow the psalmist’s example and cry out to the Lord in such circumstances, we find that in His mercy, far from constaining us, God brings us into a spacious place, which allows us to grow spiritually as a result of our circumstances.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the wide place that You make for our souls. Help me to inhabit that place that You have prepared for me. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
