22 December 2025 – What have I learned today?

Luke Chapter 22 verses 21-24

But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed. But woe to that man who betrays him!”  They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this.

A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.

Luke Christmas challenge day 22. Here we see just how quickly we can get distracted and go off course. Jesus had just told His disciples that one of them was about to betray Him. They appeared rightly concerned, yet how quickly did the subject change to a familiar debate amongst them about who was the greatest. We can’t be too critical of their humanity because we can be guilty of doing the same thing. We must be so careful to keep our focus on what Jesus is saying to us and pay attention to it. We need to act on what He tells us and not quickly get caught up with something else.

Dear Lord,

When You speak, help me to listen, pay attention and act on what You are saying. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
