Luke chapter 22 verses 10-13 (NIV)
He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.” They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
As Jesus’ earthly ministry draws to its climax, He once again gives direction and guidance to His disciples and outlines what they will find when they do as He tells them. We read that they found things just as Jesus had told them. This had happened many times, yet when He told them of His death and resurrection, they could not understand it. He had never let them down. His word always came to pass.
How many times have we found that God’s word has come to pass, just as He has told us? Yet still we have at times doubts and fears when He directs us. Praise God, He has never let us down and He never will. We will always find things just as He has told us.
