Acts chapter 13 verses 2-3 (NIV)
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
The Holy Spirit spoke whist the believers were worshipping and fasting, not worrying about what they might have to do next. Their focus was on the Lord. We need not worry or wonder about what it is the Lord may have for us to do. If we keep our focus on worship and prayer unto the Lord, we can be sure the Holy Spirit will direct our steps when the time is right.
Dear Lord,
When we set our hearts to worship and pray, everything falls into its rightful place by the Spirit’s direction. Help me to remember that. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
