Luke Chapter 8: Verses 38-39 (NLT Translation)
The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him. But Jesus sent him home, saying, “No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him.
God has a plan for each one of His followers. Sometimes that plan is to teach others about what Jesus has done, some might preach and others might be sent to other places. But sharing our own story with our family, friends and others that we know, is just as important. And that’s what Jesus told this man to do – and he did to the best of his ability.
Whatever Jesus asks us to do, and whether its for a lot of folks, or if it’s a one-to-one discussion with a friend, all He asks is that we do it to the best of our ability -and He will take care of the rest.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the faithfulness and obedience of that man, who had so much to thank You for. Help me to be just as faithful and obedient because I too have much to thank You for. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
