1 Corinthians chapter 3 verses 8-9 (NIV)
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
We should never covet somebody else’s gift. Our gifts are all God-given. Often God intends us to work together utilising our individual gifts. Paul tells us that we are co-workers in God’s service. We’re not competitors! We need to be focused on doing the best we can with the gifts we have and remember that other roles are not our responsibility.
Dear Lord,
Help me remember that I am in Your service and I shouldn’t focus on what anyone else is doing. Whatever You call me to do should be done for Your glory. Help me to be a faithful and biddable servant. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
