2 Corinthians chapter 8 verse 18 (NIV)
And we are sending along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his service to the gospel.
Paul tells the Corinthians church that Titus is being sent to them along with two others who are unnamed. The person being described in this verse is commended for his service to the Gospel. Clearly he is a very Godly man who is used to point others to Christ. I’m sure he would not be disappointed that we don’t know his name. The light of Christ was obviously shining through his life, and that, after all, is the most important thing. If we are involved in serving God, we too should not get upset if people don’t know, or don’t remember our name. We should be praying that they find Christ for themselves through our service.
Dear Lord,
Help me to remember that when people go to a concert, they are interested in how the orchestra uses their instruments, not in the instruments themselves. Help me to be a willing instrument in Your hands. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
