Psalm 106 verse 13 (NIV)
But they soon forgot what he had done
and did not wait for his plan to unfold.
I’d like to think that I don’t easily forget all that God has done for me. It’s all by His grace and Christ’s gift and I am indeed eternally grateful.
However I know that I find it much more difficult to wait for God’s plan to unfold. The verses about Joseph the other day spoke about the same thing. I think in these days of instant responses and instant action, many of us find this increasingly difficult. But God still expects us to be patient. As it is one of the fruits of the Spirit, we can ask Him to cultivate that fruit in our lives.
Dear Lord,
I ask for the grace and patience to wait for Your plan to unfold. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
