The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
They are established for ever and ever,
enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever—
holy and awesome is his name.
God’s goodness is unchanged. His precept, these verses tell us, have been established for ever and ever. Most people dislike when things change. It makes us uncomfortable and uncertain. But we can trust and rely on the goodness of God. It was His plan to provide redemption for us. That still stands in these uncertain and changing times. God is indeed the rock that we can rely on.
In the times that we feel uncertain and anxious, these verses remind us that we can run to the strong tower of the LORD.
Dear Lord,
Thank You that no matter what changes we face, we can completely trust and rely on your unchanging goodness. Amen.
