Ephesians 5:15–16 (NIV)
‘Be very careful then how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.’
The days in which we currently live are indeed evil. What I think Paul is trying to say is that we may not always get the opportunity to live as we should or to be as free to share our faith as we may have been in the past. We see already that some people, even in the West, are being challenged for their beliefs since they dont fit in with the world’s view of things. It is beholden on us to be wise and to be led by the Holy Spirit so that we don’t miss or squander opportunities to be the ambassadors of Christ that God wants us to be.
Dear Lord,
I’m not always good at making the best use of opportunities. I ask for the wisdom to do so. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
