Psalm 116 verse 10 (NIV)
I trusted in the LORD when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted”.
How many times have we seen or heard of people who say that they cannot believe in God because of the circumstances that they are in. Sadly, even some believers have lost their faith too for similar reasons.
God wants us to draw near Him in such times, and follow the example that we read of in this verse of Psalm 116. In his affliction the psalmist still put his trust in God, and God used those circumstances to draw him ever closer. God hasn’t changed. He wants to use our difficult circumstances to prove that we can trust Him.
Dear Lord,
May I always seek first Your Kingdom when times are hard. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
