Jeremiah chapter 16 verse 21 (NIV)  Therefore I will teach them—    this time I will teach them    my power and might. Then they will know    that my name is the LORD. If the Lord told Jeremiah that people would know Him by His power and might, it struck me on reading this…

Colossians chapter 3 verses 1- 2 (NIV)  Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.  There is a saying that “home is where the heart is.” We also often…

Colossians chapter 2 verses 20-23 (NIV)   Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Jeremiah chapter 2 verse 8 (NIV)  The priests did not ask,    ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me;    the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal,    following worthless idols. Three times in chapter one, then once again at the beginning of chapter two,…

Zepheniah chapter 1 verse 9 (NIV)  “Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,    that all of them may call on the name of the LORD    and serve him shoulder to shoulder. In modern life it’s easy for some people to think the grass is always greener elsewhere. Sadly, even in Christian…
